This house is located on a parcel of land that was once part of an apple orchard. Existing trees were restored in our development of the property. The house opens to views of the trees, bathing the interiors in filtered light. Strategic openings allow for wide, uninterrupted views. Each room on the ground floor has the opportunity to be transformed into a covered pavilion by sliding open multiple panels of glass. And while the house is close to but not right on the beach, the mix of indoor and outdoor life dictates attention to durability. Custom furnishings are balanced with collectible ones, creating utility and emphasis where needed. The integration of the interiors and the architecture creates a unified and enhanced indoor-outdoor experience that connects to the history of the site.
