• This ocean front house is situated in a well established seaside community with a long history of both masonry and wood structures on the water. This particular lot is unusually long, and benefits from views of a well-established dune with ocean beyond to the south and a garden landscape to the north. Neighbors on either side predominate the views to the east and west. To maximize the opportunities to appreciate the these landscapes from different perspectives, the building is intentionally broken into two distinct volumes on the upper level allowing for an open courtyard on the second floor. The lower level is transparent from north to south in key spots for an equally open experience with light and views shining through. Natural materials: teak, Limestone, European Oak and Pine are used throughout the house and detailed for warmth while capturing snapshots of waterside living.
