We embraced the opportunity to revitalize a barren waterfront lot that had seen all vegetation stripped from it to accommodate four holiday cottages. The decades old cottages  were in poor states and sat on the land with no relationship to the view nor in dialogue with their surroundings. Planning stages saw us in close collaboration with Landscape Architects to come up with a plan that not only brought native vegetation back to the site but worked with the new cottages to afford privacy and openness to the stunning sunsets over the water and surrounding areas at the same time. Designed with renewable materials that will hold up in the salt sea air, the result is a modest low key collection of guest suites that recede into the landscape while providing individual experiences of comfort and communion with nature.
